Hi everybody,

My name is Javier and I enjoy sharing in many ways, including writing blogs like this. I work and live in the Republic of Ireland and I think developer communities are an important instrument for networking and keeping skills up to date.  I spend my time enjoying my family, working and travelling around the world while presenting technology sessions. I want to say I have enjoyed every single session I’ve presented, but I specially remember one I presented in the Silicon Valley for the Bay.Net user group because it was a great technology/cultural interchange.

While living in Ireland I have searched for local developer communities and I  just found a couple (including this one) focusing in specific topics. Anyway I think there are more people (and topics) in different Irish counties wishing to join a new group of interest in the latest development technologies (Azure, AWS, Windows 8, Windows Phone 8, MVC, JQuery, C#, C++ and so on) and waiting to meet some peers around here and there.

If you believe in developer communities and would like joining me in this new community drop me a comment here and it’s very probable that you and me will make part of a new vibrant group. I’m publishing this page with the hope I’m not the only one thinking like that.

[UPDATE 09/21/2012: there are many new product versions being launched at the moment, one of them is Visual Studio 2012. One of the very first activities of this community would be launching it locally]
